We welcome new police sergeant to the neighbourhood, Sgt. Eddie Joseph, after Marcel Baker left the area. He’ll be doing a walk about to meet businesses on Thursday 19th Nov; get in touch if you want to speak to him.
The Festive Lights reached its target; thanks to the principal sponsor, London Square, and to all the other businesses and volunteers who made that happen. There will be a switch on event on Saturday 28th November to kick of a traditionally busy time of year for retail. A grant has been approved to write a Community Economic Plan Clare Richmond Associates is helping with the programme and wants to talk to local businesses. We will be surveying shoppers and local residents on Thursday 12 November. A mystery shopping exercise will be organised for later in the month and you can opt out by getting in touch with Team Cally in the usual way by emailing team.cally@Islington.gov.uk.
If you are interested in making the area safer please speak to sarah.Armstrong.gov.uk who is organising local businesses who want to register their premises to create a refuge for people who are feeling they are in danger or vulnerable.
